Last week reports surfaced about Democrat Senator Chris Murphy meeting with Iran's foreign minister, a designated terrorist, in secret. This is unacceptable.
We The People demand the Senate hold Murphy accountable for secretly meeting with our enemy, hiding it from the public and lying about it. Chris Murphy has no right to undermine the President and his foreign policy.
The worst part is Murphy was adamant about his Senate colleagues not even making their voices heard on Iran when Obama was President.
When Senator Tom Cotton and others wrote an open letter in 2015 about the Iran deal being non-binding, Murphy called the letter "unprecedented" "highly inappropriate" and "undermined" Obama's authority. It was a simple letter stating facts.
Now Murphy insists under President Trump that he has the "co-equal" right to meet and negotiate with foreign leaders.
Murphy is a dangerous egomaniac who puts Americans in danger by supporting the world's worst state sponsor of terror. The man he met with defended his regime shooting down a passenger plane full of innocents just weeks before their meeting.
We The People demand the Senate hold Murphy and any other Senators accountable for illegally meeting with enemies of the United States and undermining the President's authority.
